The Sounds of Success: Acres of Diamonds
Annie Ray
What if the greatest treasures in your program were already right in front of you? In this keynote, 2024 GRAMMY Music Educator Award Winner Annie Ray shares how every classroom contains “acres of diamonds,” or students, families, and colleagues with untapped potential waiting to shine. Through stories from Annandale High School’s innovative programs, including the Crescendo Orchestra for students with disabilities and the Parent Orchestra for caregivers of students in her school district, Annie reminds us how music education can transform lives by centering on connection, joy, and belonging. Attendees will leave with a renewed sense of purpose and the tools to uncover the diamonds in their own communities.
