Cultivating Positive Classroom Behavior Through Relationship Building
Megan Lewin
Positive classroom behaviors boil down to relationships. Students act their best when they feel seen
and heard and know they matter in our classrooms. We teach an especially vulnerable subject that
requires our students to feel safe to fully engage with the music making process and so in this session
we will break down how to reach our students so that they bring their best into our rooms each day.
Strategies include daily routines, words of affirmation, voice and choice, restorative justice, and completing the stress response cycle.
Saturday, February 1
11:00 am – 11:50 am CST
