Most educators are not aware that billions of dollars in federal funding are available for schools and districts to use to support arts education.

The winter can be a stressful for music teachers as you navigate performances, contests, academic testing, and more.
A teacher’s moral disposition and personal bias often dictate the degree of inclusion demonstrated in the classroom. Unfortunately, at an institutional level, the term diversity is almost exclusively measured by race, cultural identity, and socio-economic status (SES).
The secretary. The custodian. The counselor. These people in your building play an often behind-the-scenes, yet vitally important, role in your program’s success.
Once students are in your program, it’s vital that you retain them. Retention starts with our very beginning-level students and it is vital that we focus on keeping them once they have started in the program.
Fundraising is a necessary “evil,” required for most of our programs to survive and flourish. Unfortunately, few music educators were also trained as accountants.
