What's new in MakeMusic Cloud

MakeMusic rolled out a redesigned Practice app with collapsible controls and easy-to-find Record and My Takes menus to reduce visual clutter for students. The update also bundles quick-access Fingering Check and Pitch Reference tools, smarter tempo-synced accompaniment for Practice Loops, and more detailed post-take feedback with an audio replay.

Directors can now toggle from "Part" to "Full-Score" view in the Practice app's Display tab for any user-generated content created in Compose or uploaded via MusicXML. The view helps directors study orchestration, troubleshoot part-writing, and model how individual lines fit into the full ensemble during rehearsal.

MakeMusic revamped Practice app feedback beyond a single percentage score, adding early/late note-timing breakdowns and note-by-note accuracy analysis. The added detail helps students self-correct at home, reducing how much basic correction teachers need to repeat in class.
