A new, highly requested feature is finally here: assignment notification emails!
This new feature will help students stay a bit more organized in the new school year. The first version of email notifications will send students an automated message each time they receive a new assignment (their teacher has selected to Assign now) or when their teachers reassign a submission to them.
The notification email will include class and due date information, as well as a direct link to view assignments.
An Assignment Update email will be sent when a teacher reassigns a submission to a student. In addition to the assignment and class information, it will also show comments left by their teacher and a direct link to view assignments.
Students can manage their email preferences by logging in to MakeMusic Cloud, selecting the person icon at the top right, then selecting their name from the dropdown menu.
The updated email notifications center will appear at the bottom of their Account Details page.
At this time, email notifications are only available for real-time assignment events initiated by the teacher (teacher selects Assign Now or Reassigns an assignment to a student). Assignments scheduled for future dates or assigning an entire Unit will not yet include an email notification.
